Cultivation

Bajra, also known as Pearl Millet, is a hardy cereal crop grown mainly in dry and semi-arid regions of India. It is typically sown during the Kharif season (June–July) and harvested by September–October. Bajra thrives in low-rainfall areas and requires minimal water and fertilizers, making it ideal for sustainable and organic farming.

The crop grows well in sandy or loamy soils and is naturally resistant to pests and diseases. Bajra is known for its short growing period and ability to withstand drought conditions.
