At Kisan Basket, our besan isn’t just another flour – it’s a story of authentic farming and honest food.

We grow desi variety chana (chickpeas) on our farm using traditional methods, without a single drop of chemical fertilizer or pesticide. Once harvested, we process and clean the chana dal ourselves – no polishing, no artificial shine – keeping all its natural nutrients intact.

From Our Farm:
Grown from native desi seeds in natural soil with seasonal care – no hybrid seeds, no chemicals.

Unpolished Dal:
We use only unpolished chana dal, which means more fiber, more nutrition, and a real chana taste.

Dal Mill Processed:
Our besan is freshly ground in small batches in a local dal mill to maintain texture, aroma, and quality. No mass production. No pre-stocked flour.

Cultivation and Prepration

Our chana dal comes from desi variety chickpeas grown naturally on our own farm. We use no chemicals or pesticides, only traditional, seasonal farming methods.

Sown during rabi season (October–November) and harvested in summer, desi chana needs less water and grows well in dry climates.

After harvest, the chickpeas are sun-dried, cleaned, and split into dal – without any polishing or chemical treatment. This keeps the dal rich in fiber, protein, and natural flavor.

Only unpolished, chemical-free chana dal goes into our freshly ground besan.
