Sunflower Oil

Seeds Sowing
Sunflower is a crop grown in all three seasons. This crop grows well during Rabi and Summer seasons due to more sunlight. Sunflower seeds are black in color with white seeds inside. Generally, sunflower is planted in the month of October in the rabi season and in February in the summer season. Seeds with good germination should be selected for sowing. If planted in the token method, 2 kg of seed is required per acre. Sowing seeds at 1 * 2 feet spacing provides plenty of sunlight for crop growth.
Root Stage
After 6 days of sowing, the sunflower plant has white roots in the soil. This requires sufficient moisture in the soil. In this, the sown seed has roots in the soil and 2 small leaves on the top.
Sprout Stage
When the crop is 8 days old, the crop starts getting small young leaves. In this, the leaves grow from the soil towards the sunlight. This is a very delicate stage of the crop. The ground must be moist when the crop is getting young leaves.
Baby Plant Stage
After sowing generally 21 days after sowing, the crop grows to a height of 2 feet. The crop develops new leaves. From this stage, the crop thrives. During this time, the crop needs a lot of water. In the meantime, the crop should be weeded and watered.
Adolescent Plant
After 45 days of sowing, the crop starts splitting. A new branch comes and it flowers. To get more income, the new branch and flower should be cut off and only one trunk should be kept. Since the plant has only one flower, the number of seeds in the flower increases, and the yield is higher. During this period, the crop needs more water.
Adult Stage Of Sunflower
After 60 days of harvest, the seeds enter the stage of maturity. The crop is harvested with the help of laborers. The crop is harvested in a threshing machine driven by a tractor. Income is higher in the rabi and summer seasons.
Harvesting stage of Sunflower
The crop is harvested after the leaves and the back side of the flower turn yellow. The color of the crop and the corn changes and it becomes flaky. The seeds should be cut and dried well and harvested using a threshing machine with a tractor running. In this, clean sunflower seeds are obtained without sticks and waste.
Sunflower Oil Extraction Process
After harvesting the sunflower crop, the sunflower seeds are dried in the sun for 2 days. The waste is removed. Then the oil is extracted on a wooden ghana machine. No pressure is applied while extracting the oil. The oil is filtered with cotton cloth and the oil is packed in bottles and ready for sale.
